Dorothy understands that everyone is carrying something. Whether you’re about to have a baby and are unsure about how to provide for your family or you’re nearing retirement age and unsure if you can retire on time, you don’t have to bear your burden alone.
Dorothy Coverston-Higgins is a republican candidate running for Shelby County State Representative in November. Her positions on policy include being pro-2nd amendment and pro-life, and she plans to preserve the pensions of retiring State Employees without putting the burden on current State Employees.
Pro-2nd Amendment
Dorothy believes that American citizens have the right to own, carry, and use guns. The Second Amendment gives the right to the individual to protect themselves, their family, and their property.
Right To Life
Dorothy's views on abortion are rooted firmly in the belief that an unborn child, like any individual in this country, has an individual right to life that should not be infringed upon by others. Dorothy is not against women's rights but rather fights for the rights of the unborn child.
Protecting Public Servants' Pensions
Dorothy believes in having public servants' pensions paid for without laying the burden on current state employees.
